After nearly 20 years, Rick has decided it is time to retire. Rick has done a tremendous job in creating a superior product that has been a blessing to many customers. It was his desire that the work he started continue without interruption and remain an important resource for Awana clubs. So he was thrilled when Eric Berry agreed to take over ownership of the Approved Workman Database, beginning June 1st. 


Eric has served in Awana for the last 34 years, has been a Commander for 11 years, a software developer for 29 years, and an Approved Workman Database customer since 2006. Eric said, "This transition was completely a God thing. It was something I had thought about talking to Rick about in the future and then Rick called me up out of the blue to offer me the position. I’m really excited about the future and working with [customers] to make Approved Workman even better than it already is."

 


What customers need to know:
 
Customer Data: All customer records will be transferred from Leffler Systems LLC to Approved Workman LLC, Eric's new company, unless otherwise instructed. Privacy practices will be maintained. Your data will not be shared with outside companies.
 
Support: Annette, Sherri, and Rick (for a short time) will still be providing support along with Eric.  The ApprovedWorkman.com website will be updated to show the new company name, phone number and email address.  As of June 1, the new phone number will be: 619-438-0238 and the new email address will be: support@approvedworkman.com
 
Renewals: Service will continue until your expiration date. At that time, an invoice will be sent reflecting the new ownership and will include payment instructions. (The payment buttons on the website will be removed, in lieu of personalized emails/invoices.) 
 
Plans for the Legacy database: The Legacy Database has reached End-of-Life and is no longer being sold. Support will continue through June 30, 2024.  The End-of-Life for the Legacy Database announcement gives details of a way forward for existing Legacy Database customers.


Do I need to do anything? You only need to contact us if you have questions or do NOT want your support plan to be transferred to the new company. It is our goal to make this transition as smooth as possible for our customers and continue to provide the service and support that you are familiar with.
